Tailor-made innovation, advice, coaching and
training
There are no standard recipes for a more
effective communication with boys and finer
tuning of education, youth care or all kinds
of youth policies. Sometimes it only
requires paying more specific attention to
boys’ needs within existing policies or
programmes, sometimes it is necessary to
develop more specific programmes or methods.
Looking at an organisation from another
perspective can however lead to a total
transformation taking place with real
improvements in quality.
Where considerable energy is lost in
imposing limitations on boys and
disciplining them, reacting differently to
their behaviour can transform what was first
a problem into a source of strength and even
inspiration.
In trying to find a solution which suits
your situation, I can offer my expertise
varying from offering advice and training
for everyday practice through to policy and
research:
Analysing problem situations
-
Training, where possible coaching of
professionals and
volunteers
-
Adapting existing programmes and
developing new ones
-
Giving lectures and workshops, and
organising conferences
-
Helping to brainstorm and develop a
vision
-
Policy recommendations and innovation
-
Research and devising research
Since 1986, I have been publishing and
offering advice in the Netherlands and
abroad in areas related to education,
traffic safety, youth services, the police
and the law, health, research and youth
policy. I either work alone or in
conjunction with (a) colleague's) from my
extensive network.

Further information can be sent on request
(publications, examples of assignments in
specific sectors, and if desired, a more
extensive CV and references). After
consultation, I will make an offer based on
your particular needs.
I am not looking for extensive business
growth, but wish to concentrate on those
tasks in which my qualities serve useful
purposes. Sometimes my contribution is
individual, but I also work together with
others, sometimes with larger organisations
who have more possibilities for
implementation at their disposal. I always
tune in on the already existing qualities
and experiences in organisations.
My fees are moderate; I only wish to earn
enough to live reasonably and to study, and
at the same time make my work accessible and
available to those who can and want to
continue it. Approximately 25% of my
available time I invest in payed contracts.
The other 75% I spend in study, networking,
publicity and whatever it takes to bring
about constructive work with young men.
